Hi everyone, Greek Orthodox Easter preparations have been going on all week….here we have a few pictures from the last few days and what they symbolise. Easter eggs are dyed red to represent the blood of Christ. We have a traditional Easter bread called “Tsoureki” which we serve in Greece to break the Lenten fast. It is tradionally braided or round with a red dyed hard boiled egg inserted at one end or in the middle. Another thing we make here in Greece are “koulourakia” a traditional Greek dessert, typically made at Easter to be eaten after Holy Saturday!
